Cinemas around London

Electric Cinema

191 Portobello Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 2ED, UK – 020 7908 9696

Really wonderful cinema. Their website is missing some info, it was pretty warm in there and they don't have popcorn... But the beds for the show were super comfy, you don't feel like you're straining your neck. The intro to remind you to shut your phone off was particularly well done. Definitely worth trying it out.

We had a work event at the Cinema which was a superb venue however I then decided to go back as a paying customer to the diner with a few colleague after the event. The service was simply outstanding and I am certain I shall be visting this venue again with my partner and friends. Congratulations to your team and in particular the Diner side for so many things but it's always so refreshing when you are looked after by people who take the hospitality trade as a vocation and career not just a job. Thoroughly recommend this venue for any occasion.

ODEON Cinema - The Lounge

Queensway, London W2 4YL, UK – 0333 014 4501

Always a five star experience for me. Fantastic seats, good food, great service, bit boy, is it expensive. But then, you're paying £36 for a bottle of £10 wine because it comes with all that experience, the service, so it's totally worth it. I've been here ten or so times this year, never had any problems other than it being a bit cold once when the Aircon was on max, but other than that, I can't fault it.

Comfy seats and great staff. But the Very high price of tickets does not match the quality. The sound system is only average which is sad when you’re seeing a Lucasfilms movie which is known for their audio mixing. Might be a good place to take someone you are trying to impress. But not really a cinema to catch a flick with the guys.

Curzon Mayfair

38 Curzon St, Mayfair, London W1J 7TY, UK – 0333 321 0104

What a find! Beautiful art deco theatre - great ambiance for seeing a movie with drinks from the bar. Best for adults as no popcorn or kiddie stuff sold. Better than the chaos of Westfield if on a date.

Wonderful experience, not noisy like other comercial cinemas. Is definitely a big difference. Try it only if u like something special and different

Theatres for London

Victoria Palace Theatre

Victoria St, Westminster, London SW1E 5EA, UK – 0844 482 5138

If you like musical... London is definitely your city! Many theaters in London and many musical shows are playing. Here is like Broadway in NY. All these theaters are historic buildings. It is definitely a treat to see a show while you are visiting London. I love the culture here that people enjoying theaters.

Went to see the show Hamilton here. Theatre had been recently refurbished and looked very impressive. Staff were very helpful and service was prompt from the front doors through to the bar and the aisle staff. Toilets are on the lower levels and recommend using before the show as the queue can get long during the interval. If you are close to 6ft in height I would be careful where you book seats as the legs room is very very snug at this height. Some people had to move to aisle seats. Also seat sloping isn't that optimal so may have to be aware of tall people sat in front of you. I had to lean to the left and right for most of the performance and at 5ft7 I'm not short. Was still an enjoyable experience though and facilities and merchandise weren't disappointing.

Gate Theatre

11 Pembridge Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 3HQ, UK – 020 7229 0706

A lovely little theatre with an incredible line up of eye opening productions. Presenting theatre that makes you think, engage and challenge your ideas / perceptions. Its a tiny space, but with brilliant staff and attention to every detail they've made a beautifully inclusive space that supports inspirational theatre.

Great cosy little theatre for a unique night out. Would highly recommend seeing a play here in support of the grass roots theatre scene.

Etcetera Theatre

265 Camden High St, Camden Town, London NW1 7BU, UK – 020 7482 4857

A very small and independent with a great program. You can take your drinks from the pub with you.

Watched a friend in debut, theatre was small but comfortable! 👍
