The English Rose Cafe and Tea Shop

4 Lower Grosvenor Pl, Westminster, London SW1W 0EJ, UK – 020 7976 6280

Quaint spot close to Victoria train station. Staff were happy to make me a vegetarian English breakfast. They offer afternoon tea as well as meals. In and outdoor seating for small groups. Larger groups sit in the back. I think the staff could be a bit more cheery but other than that I would recommend for breakfast!

A lovely little tea shop behind Buckingham palace on a small but busy street. The food is good and cakes/treats look good. The cafe is deep so sitting in back may be the place to be rather than listen to heavy traffic from outside or the window area.

Yumchaa Soho

45 Berwick St, Soho, London W1F 8SF, UK

Loads of interesting teas and really helpful staff. A nice choice of caffeine free varieties too. The iced option is great for hot weather.

Always friendly staff. Great selection of teas and a gluten free banana and chocolate loaf to die for! Make sure to ask for it to be toasted! They also have a blue tea that changes colour when you add lemon to it. Not everyone's cup of tea but worth trying once. Good place for 1-2-1 catch ups and, indeed, frequented by local office workers.

Amanzi Tea

24 New Cavendish St, Marylebone, London W1G 8TX, UK

Nice variety of teas, has a small outdoor seating and a downstairs. Nice and causal. Staff were friendly. Homely feel

The perfect place for sitting down and getting some work done. Huge selection of tea, free and easy to connect to WiFi, and a good amount of seating. Additionally, the staff is very friendly. When I selected some of the more "out-there" teas they offered a cashier said I should smell it first and after making it said that if I didn't enjoy it she would make another one. There were two downsides I noticed. There were not many power outlets (only two accessible in the building) so if you needed one and it was busy you'd be hard-pressed to get access to one. Additionally the music is a little loud, although not enough to bleed through a nice pair of headphones. I took a few calls while there and received comments about the background noise of the place even when there was no conversation going on around me. A trade-off for atmosphere vs a long-term work solution.

Find fish and chips shops, fish bars, fish and chip vans

12 Tottenham St, Bloomsbury, London W1T 4RE, UK – 020 7636 1424

I really enjoyed this place. The service was great. I had the fish and chips. My food came out very quickly, and was fresh and very hot. Both the fish and chips were not super seasoned but they didn't need to be; the fish was served with lemon and tartar sauce, and the chips with salt and vinegar. The fish was crispy, and the chips were well-cooked. The price was not super cheap, but the portions we're generous. I will definitely return next time I'm in London.

Great food. The staff was very kind and generous in helping me after I left my phone and wallet in a black cab. Not only did my dilemma end with returned belongings, I have gained a lifelong friend. I will visit Gig’s during every future trip through London and I hope you will also. James Thompson Texas, USA

Micky's Fish & Chips

29 Norfolk Pl, Paddington, London W2 1QH, UK – 020 7723 2384

Very good place. The fish and chips were very fresh and crispy (even though I didn't order it). The fish was the best part. Deliciously crunchy and savory. Truly amazing. Calamari and chips was very good too. Highly recommend.

I got the lunch special for take away for 6 Pounds and really enjoyed the Haddock with the chips...Haddock was cooked perfect and the batter was on point. The chips were really tasty as well. If you're by the Paddington Station area and want a nice Haddock and chips, this might be worth your while to give it a whirl...

Hobson's Fish & Chips

9 Porchester Rd, London W2 5DP, UK – 020 7229 4161

Good fish & chips restaurant in London. They offer gluten free options including a standard fish and chips dinner and their menu is marked with symbols so you know what has gluten and what doesn't.

The classiest chippy in London! Good selection of fresh fish, and moreimportantly, coeliac friendly! My friend cannot have gluten, but she was able to get fish, onion rings, a fried Mars bar and a beer-- all gluten free!! They also have non gluten free batter (fried separately). Definitely a safe haven for gluten free travelers

Sandwich Bars, Deliveries & Lunchtime Snack Outlets around London

Warren's Sandwich Bar

13 Warren St, Fitzrovia, London W1T 5LH, UK – 020 7387 8836

I really miss this place, used to go there for lunch quite a lot a couple of years ago, went back recently and it's just the same! Friendly happy food is great very good value for money what more can you ask for...oh and the coffee is brilliant. Not really a place to try and eat in, it's best to take away and sit outside in the square about a minute around the corner.

Love this cafe! Portion sizes are generous - you never feel hungry after lunch from here. Be aware it can get really busy at peak lunch so aim to go early. Small seating area inside, but you're best grabbing food then heading round to one of the local gardens and enjoying your food there.

Master's Sandwich Bar

53 Great Portland St, Marylebone, London W1W 7LG, UK – 020 7631 0780

Amazing sandwich for the price, took 2 as I though 1 wouldn't be enough, but after eating just 1 was already full. Service was really fast even though there were a few people ahead of me. Great place with great prices.

This one of the best places to eat in London. The food is to die for. They have an amazing selection. Sandwiches, Salads, pastas and they make a great healthy breakfast. Always served with a smile. Forgot all the typical garbage chains, this is the place to nourish your body with great food.

Mayfair Pasta & Sandwich Bar

61 Davies St, Mayfair, London W1K 5JT, UK – 020 7629 4095

I've been eating here for a few year, both take-away and eat-in. The food is really delicious. The cafe may not look that great on the outside but the food makes up for it. I took a few friends here, over the years and they all agree that the food is really good. Prices are also very affordable for a Mayfair lunch so great before payday! I totally agree with the statement that staff are not that nice, apart from the tall guy who I think is an owner - he's always nice to me. Overall I still recommended this place for its food!

Great food , great staff

Chinese Takeaways

261 Eversholt St, Kings Cross, London NW1 1BA, UK – 020 7388 8103

We were hungry and grateful for food. It was though just very average. Clean. Efficient service.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Inexpensive but good food, friendly owner, wait not too long or too short, food freshly prepared. Just a good Chinese restaurant around the corner

Eastern Star

14 Hogarth Rd, Earls Court, London SW5 0QT, UK – 020 7373 2407

Eat there a few times a week. Love it!

The spring rolls and rice were very nice, the chicken chow mien was ok, but the duck fried noodles and crispy squid were awful, incredibly dry and flavourless, duck and squid felt and tasted like cardboard.

Hong Tin

142B Shepherds Bush Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 7PB, UK – 020 7603 5990

New to the area and have never been person to write reviews but I feel I owed this fine Chinese takeaway an review it only rightly so deserved. I have now visited this Chinese takeaway a few times and all I can say is WOW. This is traditional Cantonese cuisine wok stir fry at its finest, you can really taste the "breath of the dragon" in every dish. I've tried many different local Chinese prior to finding Hong Tin and most was just a major disappointment to say the least. The shop gets really busy on the weekends (guess many locals knows the secret already) but waiting time is always quick and reasonable. Every dish I'd tried so far I absolutely loved and will work my way round the menu, just need to watch my waist line. keep up the good work Hong Tin, you have a massive new fan here.

After reading all the reviews I thought I give one myself. I travel alot so eating out is a must for me! Every time I'm in London i use this great takeaway. The portions are big, price is very reasonable. Most important is the food is high standard. I've dined in expensive restaurants I can tell you these guys are on par! Without the ££££! The service is great too! Those who think otherwise should try the overpriced take outs elsewhere! Good work guy's! After reading some other Google users reviews I could clearly see HONGTIN has a few enemies, couldn't help noticing the review that says they kept on having cramps and so on everytime they eat from them, SO why don't you stop using them if they're that bad!! DON'T GET PUT DOWN GUYS...all the real customers knows what's best....

Indian Takeaways

44 Golborne Rd, London W10 5PR, UK – 020 8968 8764

Not too bad. Ordered a takeaway for two. Wrong food delivered. Food delivered must have been for at least 4 people. Called up restaurant and they send our correct order and also told us to keep the wrong delivery. So after 2 days we still have India food in our fridge. Nice of Palki to compensate us for delivering the wrong meal and for keeping us waiting. Food was not bad although a bit too much oil.

Best Indian food around! Staff was amazing and the food was delicious! Definitely coming back. I highly recommend to anyone who loves fantastic Indian food :)

Maharani Camden

109 Camden High St, London NW1 7JN, UK – 020 7387 6551

Excellent Indian restaurant in Camden. Firstly, the location is perfect. Less than 2 minutes walk from Camden Town Station or Mornington Crescent. Secondly, the food was amazing. I heard good things about Maharani from friends and decided to take my family there for dinner. My wife and kids loved it. If you are looking for a restaurant that won't hurt your wallet then Maharani is definitely the place to go as it is affordable. Would recommend them to anyone. Service was amazing too, the staff aren't afraid to have a laugh. Very friendly and approachable. They make you feel comfortable. Thank You again Maharani Camden for the delicious meal!

Great customer service, very friendly and informative. I asked for a spicy dish and was told to try a chicken dhansak, which was mouth-watering and hit the exact spot! Only criticism I can think of was an extra squeeze of lemon juice to create a little tang. That being said highly recommend this place for a beautiful indian with an intimate and sophisticated ambience.

The Bombay Takeaway Club

47 Maida Vale, London W9 1SH, UK – 020 7266 7675

Takeaway Food

8, Kensington Arcade, Kensington High St, Kensington, London W8 5SF, UK – 020 7937 1736

I don't know why people say it's too expensive. I'm stuffed and it cost me less than most other meals. Lovely food and great vegan selection.

Tasty fast food. A great option when you are on the go. It is what it is. And a good value.

35 Great Marlborough St, Carnaby, London W1F 7JE, UK – 020 7734 8057

I love Leon. The food is amazing. But here's my biggest issue, the price. The price is what stops me going to Leon as often as I'd like. The food again, it's so good. It's clean, simple but really really tasty. As a body builder, I appreciate when clean food is also super tasty. But the amount you get just doesn't justify the price of it. I've paid £18 for one box meal, one small vegan box meal, and a wrap before. Typing this out, that doesn't sound so bad, but what is inside the box is what makes it bad. A small cut up chicken breast with a decent amount of rice, for something over £8? If you doubled the amount of chicken in that box then I'd be fine. But to get extra chicken you pay almost £4.... Why?... Leon, if you lowered your prices, or at least gave more in your boxes, larger portions, then this would be a 5 star review. Because as far as taste goes, you're a 10/10

Leon is a very popular chain in London. I dont know why but I had not been in one in several years. They have a fresh original take on fast food. I had a chicken burger and fries. The prices are very reasonable and they have a strong following among locals and tourists. this is a great place for vegans or vegetarians as well due to the diverse menu. Great for eat in or takeaway

Pure - Made for You (Soho)

Silver House, 39 Beak St, Carnaby, London W1F 9SA, UK – 020 7240 1555

One of the healthiest places I have ever been. All fresh food, prepared in "normal sized" containers. You can eat there or take the food to go. Free still or sparking water fountain avilable to customers, is a plus. Exotic mix of veggies and fruits.

Staff know their staff really helpful. Massively tasty food
