I did a Fix It class at Evans Cycles near Victoria Station, London, and it was brilliant! The guy who took the class, Alex, was absolutely lovely and really knowledgeable and patient - he shared all sorts of little tips and tricks which will really come in handy and have made me feel much more confident about knowing my way around my bike and fixing issues myself. There were three of us in the class, all with slightly different bikes, and Alex took the time to tell us about how to deal with our own bikes specifically (e.g., how to adjust disk brakes and rim brakes, how to adjust different gear mechanisms). I didn't know anything about bike maintenance previously, and so this was a great beginner session for me.
The staff went above and beyond - I was really amazed. I arrived 2 min before the store closed with a flat tyre 12 km away from home and understood that they could sell me only a tube and a air pump. at this time and I need to take care of the rest myself. After seeing me struggling in front of the shop window doing the job myself, someone from the staff called Alex came out and helped and explained me how to change the tube and get everything fixed. I was really happy as I wouldn't know how to do it myself! Thank you again!!

Great place to buy a road bike. They have a nice guy called John, excellent mechanic Damien and a UCL graduate sales man !
Absolutely amazing. I just had a small problem and I came by just before closing... still, they decided to help me and didn't even charge anything. Fantastic.

amazing - service- help and guidance on both my recent visits - Phil did a great job on sorting me out in store and getting me online - highly recommend, plus the web support is also amazing if you need to speak to someone
Just experienced outstanding customer service here at the Cycle Surgery on Palace Road! I had gone to the shop to see whether they could help me with my Brompton. I knew I must have put the rear wheel back in the wrong way but could not fix it myself. The mechanic looked at it and fixed it on the spot within 5 minutes. And while doing so he gave me good tips for cleaning the tensioner. That was perfect service - Thank You! And very different from the earlier experience at the Evans shop, where they refused to even look at it before next week. I know where I will go for my next bike!

I have come here many times for smaller fixes, and they have always done it on the spot in a very friendly and competent manner, and sometimes just for a fiver or a tenner. But really for any kind of repairs I would highly recommend this place.
Very knowledgable, welcoming, easy, helpful, efficient. Wide range of cargo bike stock and accessories- like no other shop we tried for this type of bike. Alex really knew his stuff and took the time to show me the various models. You can even ride before you buy as they have plenty of models for hire- this was really useful. Tried the bike Tues, called up to buy Weds, ready to collect midday Thurs having been serviced and set up. Still early days with the bike but with a free service in 4-6 weeks we do t envisage any problems!

I used the bikes during my 3 days in London.! Good way to know the city.! The only problem is that you have to change the bike each 30min to avoid extra charge. But sometimes it was difficult to find another bike station and you could waste a little of time during all that process..

Had a lovely time riding around London on these bikes but got stung on the price which is Not explained well at all. Basically the first half hour is free of each journey but then it's £2 per half hour for 24 hours and higher after that. There are loads of docking stations but many times they were full so you then have to bike to find another (we did find a helpful app with maps telling you where the docking stations were and how full too) The pricing point firstly states it's free for first 30 mins then £2 for 24 hours, not true, it's badly explained. You have to keep docking your bike in all the time to keep the price down. Still a good fun way to get around, i would use these bikes again but think that it's fairer if your fully aware of the charges instead of wondering where that £40 has suddenly disappeared too from your bank account a few days later.
